Do I really have to do this?

The pre-wedding ordeal causes many Bridegrooms to utter questions just like this.

According to brides , weddings are thrilling. According to Grooms , weddings may be boring, stressful, or dreadful; but are seldom described as thrilling. Do brides and Bridegrooms see something different in this event?

The pre-wedding process can be challenging for both fiances’ and Grooms , but there is a high degree of stress and anxiety faced by Bridegrooms . The process is both emotionally challenging and can be very expensive. The process may be describes as a social gauntlet .

Is it any wonder that Bridegrooms feel a little awkward at some of these events? In a sense they are like a test of his endurance. In another sense, it may be a test of his love.

At the pre-wedding counseling session, ladies appear truly energized, but Bridegrooms are more laid back. fiances’ come ready to talk, ready to describe all their plans, ready to bubble over. Unfortunately, too many Grooms sit silently.

I discovered, that Bridegrooms have their own ideas, but they may hesitate to share their thoughts, feelings, and interests. For this reason, after listening and interacting with the brides ; I turn to the Men and begin asking open ended questions to uncover their thoughts.

I believe weddings are for both fiances’ and Bridegrooms . Yes, Men must be sensitive and understanding of their brides ‘ hopes and dreams. Bridegrooms need to listen and genuinely appreciate the feelings of their ladies . On the other hand, it is important for Bridegrooms to be a big part of the wedding planning and the wedding itself. Not only will Bridegrooms feel better about the whole event.

Sensitive expression of their ideas and feelings may challenge Men , but it is vital for a meaningful wedding and launching a vibrantly healthy marriage.

The wedding planner or coordinator, the wedding minister, and the ladies can greatly help support the Bridegrooms by early planning, effective listening, and genuine efforts to include the Men in every phase of the process. The better Bridegrooms feel about being part of their own pre-wedding and wedding; the more likely they will enjoy successful marriage.

Lladies may dream of their wedding day for years even from their preschool days. Grooms usually do not even think about the wedding until their hearts are captivated by their brides . Still given adequate time, consideration, and encouragement Bridegrooms can enjoy the process and their wedding too. It is vital to consider their feelings, thoughts, and ideas; while minimizing stresses at the same time.
