How to Organize an Excellent Bridal Shower
A wedding shower is always a special occasion, not only for the bride-to-be, but also for her closest friends. Just the idea of a “girls night” is offering that comfort needed for the relaxation such an event should bring.
If you’re going to be handling the preparation of things, the first thing that should come across your mind should be choosing the proper theme for the event, because without that you won’t even be able to design the invitations. There are plenty of ideas available, going from a pizza party, to a pajama party or even a spa spoiler party. If you think it could be a success, you could always choose a “girls night out” – but it then turns to a more dynamic kind of event and a lot of nice classical possibilities are lost on the way.
Now design the invitations according to the theme and send them out at least six weeks before the event – this is an important step, since in nowadays’ round the clock work time, scheduling is very important. The next step would be preparing the decorations; whether you’ll be ordering them now or later, from my experience it’s very important to have them about two weeks before the magic evening.
Next it’s the food and cakes that need to be taken care of; never forget that when you’re planning this, you should always have the chosen theme in your mind; if it allows you, you can also search for poems to be recited at the event.
Also, you must know that games are an absolute must – they can fill in the gaps between conversations and bring a smile on everyone’s face. So, one of the tricks of entertaining the atmosphere is: when you feel that things aren’t going into the right direction, just launch another fun game and you’ll keep everyone entertained.
As a conclusion, if you put a little effort into this – there’s no way that you’re not going to end up with an excellent party, whether you’re throwing it for a friend or just for yourself.

Brides Should Give More Input to the Bridal Shower
Friends and family enjoy Bridal showers because it is a last chance (along with the bachelorette party) to have time with the Bride while she is still single. The Bride normally has it planned for her and it is not always what she might want it to be.
Quite often there is not a lot of thought that goes into a Bridal shower, it goes along and things happen as they happen. It is a hard time for the Bride though as quite often there is an uncomfortable mix of family and friends, with friends finding it funny to give gifts of shocking panties while the Bride’s grandmother is watching. The gifts are a weird mix of gags, risque and practical such as a set of glassware! This happens because the Bride has not sat down with the organizer and set a few ground rules for the event.
Usually it is the Maid of Honor who organizes it and it is perfectly understandable that the two would sit down together and talk about a few shower details. After all the Bride still wants to have fun but if there is family and children attending there are limits. Also the practical facts are that more and more people need a little help starting out their lives together nowadays, with the way the economy is. Not having to buy a kettle, toaster, plate set etc is a big help. The Bride should talk about all this with the Maid of Honor and she should pass it on to those invited.
When the Bride meets with the Maid of Honor ask for her to pass on things like family friendly gifts only and remind those extroverted friends that family and children may be attending also. In reality some Brides do not wear these items for their husband anyway, either because it is too risque, not to their taste or very commonly it doesn’t even fit!
The wedding gift register can be a guide for Bridal shower gifts and the Maid of Honor can remind guests about that. Though you cannot be so direct for the actual wedding it is not impolite of the Maid of Honor to direct guests for the shower. If the Bride has indicated no children then this is also the Maid of Honor’s duty to make sure all know, as a lot of people may want to be able to kick back some but children and babies around prohibit that.
Making a Collage Using Wedding Photos
There are many creative possibilities when making a collage out of wedding photos. It can be a memento for yourself, guests from the wedding or memories to share with your family. Here are some ideas on how to go about this project.
If the collage is a gift for your parents maybe as a thank you to them think about what photos you are going to select for the collage. Do not just grab the left over photos that were not chosen for albums or frames. Collect together the images from guests and your photographer and think about your parents and what they would like to see, for example maybe a few friends and family. If it is for your grandparents you might think close family only. It is up to you but the selection so that there are not random strangers, is important.
Another nice idea if it is going to be an anniversary gift to your partner, is to collect pictures of you together that show your relationship developing. Old pictures of the first date, your first holiday together, wedding pictures, your first child and so on. When you gift it your partner will think it wonderful I promise, and you will both spend some precious moments together remembering the special times the photos depict.
Something more unusual to do would be to turn the collage into an activity and make a collage jigsaw puzzle! Then it is a great gift not just for adults but for children too. Just find an online service to upload your chosen photographs too like the first kiss, the first dance, cutting the cake and so on. They will then use them to make first a collage and then turn that collage into a puzzle of whatever size and difficulty you want. Usually prices run from eighty to two hundred and fifty dollars but this is something you will have to look into.
This is a crafting project you could do yourself but there are companies that can do a professional job for you. They have collages they have made for others available for you to view so you can see what your options are and then all you do is send them the digital photos you want them to use. If you have specific requests you let them know, otherwise they will come up with something for you.
Whatever you decide to do, do not throw away excess photos or just shove them in an album that never gets looked at! A collage makes a wonderful framed picture for anyone’s house.
